Fire Destroys Conklin Home

Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a Town of Conklin home March 17th.Firefighters from Conklin, Kirkwood, the Town of Binghamton, Five Mile Point, Great Bend, Hallstead, West Windsor, Vestal and Port Dickinson responded to the home on Montrose Drive shortly before 5:30 p.m.  The final crews didn't return to their stations until about 11:30 p.m.

There were no injuries.

Authorities say a construction company was called in late in the night to tear down what remained of the structure to quell remaining hot spots.
