Fire Damages Home on Rt. 11 in Lisle
Investigators are continuing to look into the cause of an afternoon fire December 1 that damaged a home in Northern Broome County.
Firefighters from several companies responded to the home on Route 11 in Lisle at 3 p.m. for a report of chimney fire. Crews arriving on site reported seeing smoke coming from the structure.
The authorities at the scene then noted the blaze had migrated into the attic and called for a second alarm to activate more units, equipment and personnel.
There were no reports of injuries.
Firefighters and equipment were called in from Lisle, Whitney Point, Triangle, Killawog and Marathon and were on the scene for about three hours.
Officials could not provide details on the extent of the damage to the two-story, wood-frame home.
