New York State Police are continuing to investigate a fatal motor vehicle versus bicycle accident that occurred Saturday afternoon in the Village of Owego.

Police say that at approximately 2:34 p.m. on Saturday, 64-year-old Dorothy Rice of Endicott was bicycling eastbound on State Route 434 when she was stuck from behind by a vehicle operated by 41-year-old Brent Randall of Apalachin.

Rice was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Charges against Randall are pending.
