Exposure Advisories for Binghamton Funeral Home and Pub
Local health officials are advising residents of two potential public exposures to the coronavirus earlier this month.
The Broome County Health Department says a person who was at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home on Main Street, Binghamton September 16 has tested positive for COVID-19. Anyone at the funeral home that day between 4 and 5 p-m should self-quarantine until October 1.
Additionally, the Health Department reports a possible exposure at Abel’s Pub on Rotary Avenue in Binghamton. Anyone at the pub on September 10 or 13 after 5 p.m., September 15 or 18 between 11:45 p.m. and 3 the next morning should self-quarantine for 14 days after exposure.
Everyone is reminded to wash their hands, wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, which causes COVID-19. Also, health officials say, if you feel sick, stay home. If you do not need immediate assistance, contact your healthcare provider by phone or virtual heath portals with questions and direction.
