An Endicott woman is accused of assuming the identity of someone else and trying to pass a bad check.

28 year old Kimberly Demkovich was arrested by Johnson City Police February 23 and charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property, felony identity theft and misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic.

Village Police say they were called to the Visions Federal Credit Union in the Oakdale Mall about a woman trying to cash a suspicious check.

Authorities say Demokovich is accused of assuming the identity of a woman who had reported her purse stolen from her vehicle on February 20th.

Police say they also found two credit cards and a driver license belonging to the victim in Demkovich’s possession.  A hypodermic needle was also found.

Demokvich was sent to the Broome County Jail.
