Disaster Training to be Held in Owego

A disaster preparedness training program is being held May 10 at the Owego Middle School.

On-line preregistration is required at www.prepare.ny.gov/training events.

The Southern Tier Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program will begin at 11 o’clock with the doors opening at 10 a.m.

Each family attending will receive a New York State Disaster Preparedness Kit that contains items to assist in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.

A similar program was held earlier this year at the Binghamton University Events Center and in Ithaca.
