The Binghamton Devils have started their regular season with three very close games, all going to overtime, and last night they lost at home in regulation to the Hershey Bears 2-1.

The Devils struck first on a power play goal by Reilly Walsh at 8:55 in period one, and Binghamton took a 1-0  lead going into the second period.

Hershey came back quick in the second period, with a Brett Leason shot over Gilles Senn into the net, to even the score at one a piece, going into the second admission

In the final period Hershey’s Damien Riat scored the only goal of the third period, giving the Bears a 2-1 win.

The Bears outshot the Devils 43 to 23.

Gilles Senn was amazing with 41 saves and Bears goaltender IIya Samsonov had a mirrored performance, with 22 out of 23 saves.

The Binghamton Devils are 2-2 to start this early season, but all games have been close.

The Devils will take a road trip to face off against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this Saturday February 19th at 7:05pm. Binghamton defeated the Phantoms in a thrilling overtime win on February 10th
