Convicted Felon Found with Unregistered Gun in Broome County

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say a Windsor man is accused of possessing a handgun even though he is a convicted felon.

33-year-old Shawn Kerwin was arrested November 21 after Deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Blatchley Road.

He’s charged with felony criminal possession of a firearm and felony criminal possession of a weapon.

Deputies say the handgun was unregistered.

Kerwin was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
