Construction to Start on $22 Million Endicott Apartment Project

Workers are about to begin the job of converting a former Endicott school into a 61-unit apartment complex.

Syracuse-based developer Housing Visions has been planning to transform the old Henry B. Endicott School on Jackson Avenue into a residential building.

The property had been acquired by Marchuska Development in 2014. The site had been used by BOCES as its Endicott learning center. The two-story school was constructed in 1927.

Marchuska Development and other tenants recently moved from the building.

Michael La Flair of Housing Visions said construction at the site is to get underway next week. The Endicott Square project is expected to be completed around August of next year.

The total cost of the conversion is estimated to be about $22.1 million. Previous grants of $7.3 million in state funds have been approved for the project.
