Conklin Man Found Bloody in the Street Charged With Assault
A Conklin man is accused of assaulting his girlfriend after Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies found him barefoot and blooded on Brady Hill Road around midday January 22.
35 year old Adam Gurney was found in the middle of the road around 11 a.m., yelling incoherently and began fighting with the Deputy.
The Deputy reported Gurney had blood on his hands he claimed had come from his “dead girlfriend." Authorities say they determined Gurney was under the influence of drugs and found his girlfriend at a home about a mile away with serious injuries to her face. She declined medical treatment.
Gurney is charged with felony assault, misdemeanor resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
