Columbus Day Parade and italian Festival Held

The 58th annual Columbus Day Tournament of Bands Parade and italian Festival battled light and sometimes steady rain but still drew hundreds to see and hear the marching bands and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. A number of bands took part despite the wet weather.

The parade started  on Main Street west of Binghamton High School and finished downtown near the Courthouse.

Water Street was blocked off near Boscov's for the Italian Festival.  Plenty of favorites like meatball sandwiches,pasta fagioli, sausage and peppers and beans and greens were available for purchase.

The event is sponsored by Mirabito Energy Products and hosted by the Downtown Binghamton Business Association.
