Coats and Toys Collection at NYS Office Building in Binghamton
The State Office Building in Binghamton is one of the collection sites over the next few weeks for unwrapped toys, school supplies and coats.
The New York annual statewide holiday donation drive starts December 9.
Items collected at state facilities will be distributed to needy families across New York.
The state Office of General Services has set up drop off locations, most in the government offices in municipalities like Albany and New York City, but collections are also being done at some New York State Police barracks.
In the Southern Tier, the collection site is the state office building on Hawley Street in Binghamton and the Homer Folks Facility on Hill Street in Oneonta.
Governor Kathy Hochul says from the pandemic to Hurricane Ida, many New Yorkers are suffering hardships this year that put holiday celebrations aside.
Donations to the State Annual Toy and Coat Drive will be distributed to families in underserved communities throughout New York State.
There is also a mail-in option to help. Packages ordered online can be shipped to Empire State Plaza, P1 South Dock J, Albany, New York 12242, Attention: NYS Holiday Drive.
