The 15th Annual Celebrating Women's Athletics Luncheon (CWAL) presented by M&T Bank is scheduled for Monday, January 27th at the Events Center on campus at Binghamton  University. The event honors women athletes at the University and area.  This is the 15th annual luncheon which raises funds to offer scholarships and support women's athletics.  This also is the 50th anniversary of women's athletics at Binghamton University.

Assistant Athletics Director Bette Anne Gaube along with CWAL committe members Kate Madigan and Paul Huff were guests on First News with Roger Neel on News Radio 1290 WNBF and said to date the CWAL has raised over $500,000 from the annual luncheons. Since 2009 the women's scholarship endowment has been able to award 52 Binghamton Bearcats Athletics Association Women's Scholarships, including 10 this year.

This year's keynote speaker is Suzyn Waldman who is the long-time color commentator on the New York Yankees radio broadcasts.  She took that job in 2005.  Her voice was the first voice heard on WFAN and she is regarded as a pioneer for women in sports broadcasting and journalism.
