The Binghamton University wrestling team will host the defending national champion Penn State Nittany Lions on Friday, November 17th at 7 PM at the Events Center.  It will be the first time that Binghamton University will host a defending national champion in any sport.

The Nittany Lions went 14-0 in dual competition last season and have won back to back NCAA National Championships.  Penn State has won the NCAA Championship six of the past seven seasons and since 2010 has a record of 99-8-1 in dual competition.

Last season BU earned a conference record of 8-4 with eight Binghamton wrestlers finishing in the top eight in the EIWA Championships.  Binghamton head coach Matt Dernlan served as an assistant coach at Penn State for seven seasons including a 2011 national championship.
