It was a sluggish start for the Hawks in the opening minutes of the first half, but they managed to hit their stride about halfway through. Moses Flowers led the charge with nine points. Malik Ellison had eight and both Traci Carter and D.J. Mitchell tallied six as Hartford put up 31.

Binghamton started red hot with a 22-6 run to open the game, but they cooled off slightly, allowing Hartford to cut into their huge lead. The two seniors Richie Caldwell Jr. with his 13 points and Pierre Sarr with eight helped set the tone for the rest of the team. Sam Sessoms added 14 as the Bearcats led 44-31 at halftime.

The game came down to the wire in the second half. Hartford managed to erase the double-digit deficit and grab hold of the lead in the closing seconds. Moses Flowers ended the game with 15. Malik Ellison finished with 14 and Traci Carter recorded 12 as the Hawks totaled 75.

Binghamton played hard in the second half, but unfortunately, they lost their lead in the closing seconds. Sam Sessoms accounted for 22 points. The seniors, Richard Caldwell Jr. with 18 and Pierre Sarr with 11, played excellently but would be disappointed as the Bearcats fell in a heartbreaker by a final score of 75-74.

The men are now 3-11 in the America East Conference and nine games under 500 with a 9-18 record overall. The final two games of the regular season will be on the road for the Bearcats. Their first game will be in Maryland as they will face the Retrievers of UMBC.
