Broome’s Heart Walk on Southern Tier Close Up

Details of the upcoming American Heart Association Heart Walk are outlined on the weekly, local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up Saturday, April 2.

Southern Tier Office Director Gina Chapman and the coordinator of programs and events, Jeff Greenblott talk about how funds from the walk go toward numerous programs supporting patients, research and prevention education.

Chapman and Greenblott say it is almost impossible to find anyone who hasn't been effect by heart disease including heart attack, stroke and high blood pressure.

Teams are forming for the April 10 walk at the SUNY Broome, Ice Center with the Run for Your Heart Coal House 5K at the Rail Trail in Vestal the following weekend.
