A 30-year-old Broome County woman has been arrested after she allegedly used illegal narcotics in front of her children.

Authorities say Nichole Archer of Kirkwood was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to state police, Archer was arrested on Monday (April 11) following the incident. Investigators say it happened in the family's home on Loughlin Road.

Broome County Child Protective Services was advised of the situation and the children were placed with a relative.

Archer was ordered to appear in Kirkwood town court on April 19.
