Broome Man Charged with 15 Weapon and Drug Counts
Police say a Broome County resident has been arrested following the seizure of shotguns, rifles and drugs by members of a SWAT team.
Authorities say 53-year-old Roy Niles of Nineveh was taken into custody Tuesday by a Broome County sheriff's deputy.
Investigators say 15 charges were filed against Niles as a result of a search of his residence at 2118 East Windsor Road. The raid occurred a week earlier.
Niles was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Colesville town court and sent to Broome County Jail.
Police earlier announced the arrest of 24-year-old Marissa Price of Port Crane in connection with the Nineveh raid.
Investigators reported five shotguns and rifles were confiscated. They also found methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription pills, along with $5,188 in suspected drug sale proceeds.
