Another abandoned property in Broome County is gone as the Land Bank announces the demolition of a flooded-out structure on Second Avenue in Twin Orchards in the Town of Vestal December 5.

Officials say it was the last of a wave of four demolitions by the Broome County Land Bank since November 27.

The homeowner, apparently, had not applied for Federal Emergency Management Agency funds to demolish the houdr, so the Town asked the Land Bank to pay $8,860 dollars to raze the property.

The Land Bank is soliciting offers from nearby residents who may want the property through the Side Lot Program.

Previously this year, properties in the Towns of Chenango, Dickinson and Kirkwood were demolished.
