An insurgent and a Capitol Police officer died as a result of the Wednesday afternoon attack on the capitol as Congress was meeting to debate certifying the Electoral College ballots electing Democrat Joe Biden President.

Donald Trump through the campaign has claimed voter fraud and prior to the breach of the Capitol had urged supporters at a rally to march to the hill and take the country back.

The Broome County Democratic Committee issued a statement yesterday saying the blame falls on a great number of national and local leaders but there is “no doubt” Trump, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and Trump’s son don Junior are directly responsible for the attack.

The local Democrats said they had seen statements from Mayor David and Senator Fred Akshar condemning the attack but they say there was no mention of the President’s involvement.  The B.C.D.C. is calling on David and Akshar to join in calling for the immediate removal of Trump from office.
