A construction company employee died in what state police described as an industrial accident in the town of Binghamton.

Authorities say the incident happened at FAHS Construction Group at 2224 Pierce Creek Road at about 7:12 a.m. March 17.

Investigators say 42-year-old Eric Willes of Nineveh was backing an excavator out of a building when the accident occurred.

According to state police, Willes was dead when troopers arrived at the business.

Police say no other people or vehicles were involved in the incident.

The man's body was transported to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for an autopsy.
