In a world of ever-increasing costs, it's nice to get a deal once in a while.

According to a release from the Broome County Office for Aging,  $25 Farmers Market Coupon Vouchers will be distributed to eligible New York State residents who are aged 60 and older. Proof of age is required.

What Are The Vouchers For?

A voucher can be used to purchase fresh produce at local farmers' markets. To be eligible, you must be 60 or older (provide proof of age), be a New York State resident, and have a Broome County Office for Aging ID card or complete an application on site.

Income Guidelines

According to the Broome County Office For The Aging, to be eligible, a person must meet the following:

• $2,413/month or less for a 1-person household; or
• $3,261/month or less for a 2-person household; or
• $4,109/month or less for a 3-person household

Proof of income is not required. All eligible individuals are entitled to receive one booklet per year. Please bring your Office for Aging ID card.

Applications And Event Location

ID card applications are available at all Broome County Senior Centers. You can print out an application by clicking HERE, or fill out an application on site during the event.

The event will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Decker Community Room at the Broome County Library on Court Street, Binghamton.
