Bronx Man Accused of Burglary and Violating Protection Order in J.C.
A Bronx man is facing felony and other charges in connection with a physical domestic dispute in Johnson City April 6.
Police say 36 year old Duffy Carruthers Junior is accused of unlawfully entering his wife’s North Street home through a bedroom window, hitting her with a laundry basket and breaking a light in the room while their seven year old child was present.
Carruthers is charged with felony burglary, felony criminal contempt, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanor criminal mischief and harassment.
Police say there had been an order of protection against Carruthers stating he was to stay away from his wife’s home.
Carruthers was sent to the Broome County Jail.
