Travelers who usually enter or exit the City of Binghamton over the next few days should expect to give themselves extra time to make appointments or arrive when expected for other commitments.  Traffic continued to back-up Thursday afternoon approaching and on the Court Street Bridge.  Traffic that usually uses the Clinton Street Bridge is being diverted to utilize the Court Street Bridge, also over the Chenango River.

The Clinton Street Bridge is undergoing a close to two million dollar renovation project.  That is projected to reopen for traffic next Friday (September 1).

State Street is now open for traffic at the intersection of Hawley Street.  Drivers were being detoured around that area for most of the month while the pedestrian walkway that connected 20 Hawley to Binghamton City Hall was being demolished.  That has reopened and traffic is flowing as usual through that section of State Street.
