Binghamton “State Of City” Address Will Be In April
Binghamton's new mayor is planning to wait until he's been in office for 100 days before he presents his first State of the City message.
Richard David says he'll deliver his address sometime in April, breaking with tradition. Binghamton mayors generally offer their State of the City speech in February.
David says he has several initiatives and announcements planned for the next few weeks.
The mayor says he'll be able to provide a "more comprehensive review" after he's been in office a bit longer.
David's 100th day in office will be April 10. The exact date of his address has yet to be announced.
David says he plans to return to the "traditional" February State of the City date next year.
