Damage apparently was confined to a small area of the second floor. No injuries were reported.

City detectives and fire department investigators were conducting interviews to determine what happened.

At least five police patrol cars were sent to the same apartment house on Wednesday afternoon for a reported dispute.

It wasn't known whether Wednesday's incident was connected to the suspicious fire.
