Binghamton Music Promoter Edward V. Green Dies at 75
Edward V. Green, a Binghamton man who brought some well-known musical talent to the region, has died. He was 75.
According to an obituary, Green died Saturday following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Green operated Edward V. Green Enterprises, which promoted many concerts at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton during the 1970s. He also worked to bring shows to other cities, including Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo.
Among the Binghamton concerts Green promoted were events featuring the Beach Boys, Roberta Flack and Barry Manilow.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Binghamton, followed by a funeral Mass. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City.
