Binghamton Man Tries to Use Credit Cards Stolen from Conklin Cars
A Binghamton man is facing over a half dozen felony counts after Broome County Sheriff’s Detectives say they found he allegedly tried to use credit cards stolen from vehicles at stores in Johnson City.
27-year-old Mark Torres is charged with five felony counts of Grand Larceny as well as felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property and identity theft.
Sheriff’s officials say credit cards were stolen from two separate vehicles in the Town of Conklin.
At least one of those stolen cards was presented at a retail store in Johnson City.
Torres was released after being processed on the charges and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
Residents are again reminded to never leave anything of value unattended in a vehicle and always make sure to lock vehicles, businesses, homes and outbuildings.
