Binghamton Man to Spend Next 10 Birthdays in Prison for Heroin Possession
A Binghamton man, arrested in November in the City in a narcotics investigation, will spend ten years in prison.
Gerald Jacobs, who turns 59 May 1, has pleaded guilty to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance for having 30 envelopes of heroin, close to $2,000, several digital scales and drug packaging material when he was arrested November 15.
Jacobs was indicted by a Grand Jury in Broome County in December.
In addition to the prison sentence, the Binghamton man is to spend five additional years on parole.
