Johnson City Police say a Binghamton man is charged with a felony count thanks to the sharp eyes of workers at a local pharmacy outlet.

Authorities say 29 year old Osvaldo Rivera was arrested March 9 after workers at the Wegmans Pharmacy reported a man was attempting to fill a prescription that had been altered.

Rivera is accused of handing a prescription for Vicodin to the pharmacist who noticed the dosage amount appeared to have been altered from the prescribed 5mg to 7.5mg.

Rivera is charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and was sent to the Broome County Jail.
