Binghamton KFC Employee Robbed At Gunpoint
Police are investigating a reported armed robbery outside a KFC restaurant on Binghamton's West Side.
Authorities say a woman employee at the KFC at 237 Main Street told investigators she was robbed around 11:20 Sunday night.
The woman had just closed the restaurant when she was approached by a man as she walked to her car in the parking lot.
The man displayed what the woman believed was a handgun and demanded a bag he believed contained cash.
Police say the employee handed the bandit a pink backpack that contained personal items but no money.
The robber was wearing a half-mask, covering the lower part of his face. He fled the area on foot, heading south on Bellevue Avenue toward Grand Boulevard.
The woman was not hurt in the incident.
