The Rod Serling School of Fine Arts is presenting the musical "Damn Yankees" this weekend in the Helen Foley Theatre at Binghamton High School.  There is one final performance this (Sunday) afternoon at 2 PM.

Those who attend will see and hear some very talented young performers onstage and with the orchestra directed by Joel Smales just in front of the stage.  "Damn Yankees" is  directed by Ariana Zbrzezy Koniuto, This is a fast-paced musical featuring plenty of extraordinary dancing and singing.

The musical centers around a huge Washington Senators fan named Joe Boyd, who sells his soul to the devil and gives up his wife and home to be transformed into a slugging superstar who can lead the Senators to a victory over the rival and hated New York Yankees.

There were numerous standout performances throughout the show. Some of the featured cast include Olivia Capozzi  in the role of Meg Boyd, Trevor Terry performing as Joe Boyd and Josh Schull as Joe Hardy.

Tickets for Sunday's matinee performance are available at the door.  General Admission tickets are $8 each while Senior Citizens and Students are priced at $6 each.

* A special thanks to Binghamton High School's  Coordinator of Special Events and Theatre Lawrence Kasson for inviting me to play the role of the Play by Play Announcer in "Damn Yankees".  It was a pleasure to be associated with and part of such a wonderful performance.  The dedication of the students and the staff who worked with them is obvious in the results.  Thank You Binghamton High School !
