Three houses on Binghamton's South Side have been declared unfit for habitation after investigations by the city's code enforcement office.

City officials say the buildings at 6, 8, and 13 Vine Street have been condemned because of a range of structural and safety issues.

The properties are on the north end of Vine Street, just off Vestal Avenue.

The houses at 6 and 8 Vine Street were ordered uninhabitable on September 5. A similar order for the building at 13 Vine Street was issued four weeks earlier.

City officials say there were 65 police calls to the three addresses over the past year. The calls were for an assortment of complaints, including drugs, fights and noise.
