Binghamton Celebrates an Ivory Christmas

Forget the White Christmas or the scantily-clad elves of Santa-Con of last weekend. Binghamton is going to be celebrating an “Ivory Christmas” for a third year this weekend.

Artfully decorated pianos will be set up on the sidewalks down Gorgeous Washington Street from 5 to 9 p.m. November 30 with musicians treating people downtown to music of the season.

The host business for the event, Craft on South Washington Street is one-upping your run-of-the-mill Steinway, promising a 16-foot-long piano keyboard on the sidewalk for people to play ala-"Big" movie-style.
