The Binghamton Bearcats pushed the Stony Brook Sea Wolves to the closing seconds last night at the Events Center in a 58-53 decision .  The Bearcats led the conference co-leader by five points at the end of the first half but 48 per cent shooting by the Sea Wolves in the second half enabled them to notch their ninth conference victory.  Coming into the week Stony Brook shares first place in America East with Vermont with just one loss each.

The Bearcats got a superb game from sophomore Jordan Reed who torched the Stony Brook defense for 23 points and led all rebounders with 15 for a double-double.  He was the only Bearcat in double figures.  A big key in the game was free throws.  Binghamton was 22-35 at the free throw line...leaving a potential 13 points on the table.

The Sea Wolves got 16 points from Anthony Jackson and 14 points from Dave Coley.  They ended the game with an 8-2 run to secure the victory. A season-high 4,635 fans turned out on "Olum's Pack the House Night".  The Bearcats host the Maine Black Bears Saturday at 2 PM  (1:45 airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
