
Bill Parker Talks Binghamton Radio And TV History
Veteran Binghamton broadcaster Bill Parker joined Broome County historian Gerald Smith on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program Friday morning.
Parker was on hand when WNBF-TV Channel 12 (now WBNG-TV) officially started operations on December 1, 1949.
Over the years, Bill hosted children's shows on WNBF-TV. Thousands of kids appeared on the TV Ranch Club and on The Officer Bill Show.
Bill later was a fixture with music and interview programs on WNBF Radio.
