Bearcats Top Cornell in Soccer

The Binghamton Bearcats men's soccer team topped the Cornell Big Red at Berman Field in Ithaca September 15 by a 1-0 final. The victory spoiled the home opener for the Big Red who drop to 0-5-0.  The Bearcats up their slate to 4-2-0 and gives them their fourth victory in their last five outings.

Alex Varkatzas scored the game's only tally in the 67th minute on an assist from Zach Galluzzo.  The Bearcats out shot the Big Red 14-13.  It was Binghamton's third shutout of the season.

Next up for the Bearcats is a home match against Siena.  That is set for September 19  at 7:00 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
