Bearcats Men at St Mary’s Tonight

The Binghamton Bearcats travel to Mount St Mary's tonight to play a 7 o'clock game against the Mountaineers.  The two teams have met just three previous times with The Mount winning two of the three.

The Bearcats only victory came in 2006 when BU captured a 66-59 decision at the Events Center.  Last year the Bearcats suffered a heart-breaking loss in Vestal by a final of 71-70.  Jordan Reed's bid for the winning shot was partially blocked at the buzzer and the Mountaineers held on to get the road victory.

Mount St Mary's is 2-6 heading into tonight's match-up with wins over American and Bucknell . The Bearcats are 1-6 with the only game in the win column coming at Cornell. Binghamton is led by sophomore standout Jordan Reed averaging 15.1 points per game with freshmen Nick Madray and Marlon Beck hitting for 12.4 points per game.

The Mountaineers are led by two high-scoring guards.  Julian Norfleet is averaging 18 points per game while Sam Prescott is hitting at a ten-point per game clip.  Tonight's game will be broadcast on News Radio 1290 with airtime at 6:45.  Following tonight's contest BU travels to the Carrier Dome to meet Syracuse Saturday at 7 PM.
