
Bearcats and America East Showing Strength
The Binghamton Bearcats men's soccer team and the America East Conference are making a solid showing in the NCAA RPI ranking out this week. RPI rankings are based on won and loss records and strength of schedule.
The Bearcats are ranked 61st out of 206 Division I men's soccer programs in the country. Binghamton is 5-2-4 and played UMass Lowell to a 1-1 double overtime tie on the road on Saturday. The River Hawks remain unbeaten and are 7-0-2 including the America East opening tie with BU.
Overall, America East has five teams with RPI rankings of 61 (Binghamton) or better including number 20, UMass Lowell.
New Hampshire has an RPI rating of 30, Vermont is 33 and Albany is 51.
The Atlantic Coast Conference has the top five RPI rankings with Notre Dame on top with a record of 8-1-0 followed by Clemson, Louisville, North Carolina and Syracuse.
The Bearcats next match is home this Saturday, October 8 at 7:00 PM when Binghamton hosts Hartford at 7:00 PM at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
