Bagel Rage: Man Punches Out Window at Broome Dunkin’ Donuts
A passenger in a construction truck flew into a rage when he discovered a mistake in his order at a Binghamton-area Dunkin' Donuts shop.
The angry man emerged from the vehicle at the business near the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City and began punching the drive-thru window shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Village police said the furious customer tried to pry open the window. No injuries were reported.
A Dunkin' Donuts employee said the man was upset about a mistake involving a $3.55 bagel.
The truck - bearing the name and phone number of a Broome County construction company - was driven by a woman.
The employee said the enraged man was yelling and swearing during the dispute, which occurred while several other vehicles were waiting in the drive-thru lane.
The truck with the upset customer eventually drove off.
The shop employee said the window mechanism needed some attention after the incident.
