The Binghamton Senators closed out the season Saturday night at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial .Arena with a 4-1 loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.  Casey Bailey scored the B-Sens only goal of the game.  A jam-packed crowd of 4,896 watched the final game ever of the Binghamton Senators.  Ottawa, Binghamton's parent team, is moving its American Hockey League affiliation to Belleville, Ontario beginning next season.

Last night's game ended a 15 season Binghamton affiliation with Ottawa.  During that span Binghamton teams won four division championships and in 2011 the city's first and only Calder Cup Championship.

The American Hockey League will stay in Binghamton despite Ottawa's move.  The New Jersey Devils are moving their American League franchise to Binghamton and the Binghamton Devils become the new team in town.  New Jersey owns their American Hockey League club.  A local management team headed by Tom Mitchell will operate the franchise.  The initial agreement is for five seasons.
