The Binghamton Senators closed out the 2016 portion of their schedule on New Year's Eve with a 3-2 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.  Chris Driedger made 44 saves and Jason Akeson slammed home a pair of goals to pace the B-Sens to the victory.

It was the third consecutive win for Binghamton and puts their season record at 13-17-2-1 for 29 points.  That ties the B-Sens with Rochester for fifth place in the American Hockey League's North Division.

Binghamton plays three of its next four games at home.  The B-Sens host St. John's on Friday at 7:05.  Then they head to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday night.  Next weekend Binghamton returns home for a pair of games.  On Friday the 13th Bridgeport invades the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena and the following night the Albany Devils visit Binghamton.
