Pennsylvania State Police say the results of an autopsy conducted September 2 at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton confirm that the body found Saturday morning by a neighbor in Wilmot Township in Bradford County, is that of 17 year-old Zamien Elijah Benditt-Parkes who had been missing since August 16th.

Following a search by Pennsylvania State Police, family, friends and neighbors a body believed to be Benditt-Parkes was found in a tree in a wooded area about one quarter mile from his residence on Tubach Pond Road.  The tree was 10-15 feet off the roadway but due to heavy foliage it was unable to be seen from the roadway.

The autopsy positively identified the body as that of Benditt-Parkes.  The police report there was no evidence of foul play.  The cause of death was determined to be asphyxia and the manner of death has been ruled a suicide.
