30-40 Mailboxes Smashed on River Road

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say dozens of residents in the Town of Chenango are dealing with damage to their property, apparently at the hands of children.

Officials say 30 to 40 mailboxes along River Road were smashed with a pipe sometime before 3 a.m. February 16.

Three juveniles, two boys and a girl, were apprehended and taken home.

The case has been turned over to the Juvenile Detective Division.
