Motorists in part of Northeast Pennsylvania are looking at a fairly lengthy detour for a few days this week.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says Route 106 in Susquehanna County in Harford Township is going to be closed for about three days at the end of the week.   

Officials say the road will be closed between State Route 92 in Lenox Township and State Route 11 in Harford Township Friday morning, September 11 through Sunday, September 13.

Penn-DOT explains the detour route will be: State Route 106 West/State Route 92 North to Interstate 81 North to State Route 547 South in Harford Township.  In the other direction: State Route 106 east-State Route 547 North to I-81 South to State Route 92 South.   

The detour is approximately 17 miles long and crews will be working through the weekend.
