New York State Police say a Windsor man is charged with felony counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed Operation of a vehicle following a motorcycle crash on Foley Road September 17.

27 year old Kenneth DeGroat Junior was arrested following a call to 911 about the crash at 6:04 a.m.  Authorities say DeGroat apparently got a ride to a nearby gas station and left the bike at the crash scene. He was not hurt.

Troopers say the drunk driving charge is a felony since DeGroat had been convicted on a prior DWI in the past ten years.  He was also found to have a suspended license and not having a court-ordered ignition interlock device.

Authorities accuse DeGroat of trying to run away from them when they attempted to arrest him and refusing to submit to a breath test.

DeGroat was sent to the Broome County Jail.
