US Postage Rates to Jump Again
The United States Postal Service rolls out its 2013 prices this Sunday.
The cost of a first-class stamp will rise from 45 to 46 cents. The price of sending a postcard will increase from 32 to 33 cents.
Postage rates were last increased just over a year ago.
The cost to send a letter to an international destination will be $1.10.
New prices for shipping services also will take effect Sunday. The Priority Mail flat rate fee for a small box will be $5.80.
The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax money to cover operating expenses. It depends on the sale of postages, products and services to pay for operations.
