Section 4 football powers Union-Endicott and Tioga had their seasons come to an end last night in Rochester in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Semi-Finals.

In the first game in Class D play Randolph scored early to take a 7-0 lead then watched as Tioga countered in the second half with Tyler Spires rushing for a 35 yard touchdown.  Tioga attempted a two-point conversion with a handoff to Spires but he was stopped short of the goal line and Randolph ran out the clock to win 7-6..

In the second game of the night in Class A competition Union-Endicott jumped out to a 14-0 lead over Sweet Home from Buffalo.  However, the Panthers stormed back in the second half to win the game by a score of 40-22.  Brad Zaffram led the Panthers with three touchdowns.

Coming up today at Noon in the Class C semi-finals Chenango Forks battles Hornell at Sahlens Stadium.  Then at 3 PM Maine-Endwell meets Alden in the Class B contest.

Winners advance to next weekend's championship round in Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.
