The Broome Family Violence Prevention Council is holding a special event for professionals serving seniors in the region, providing updated information on several subject pertaining to older residents.

The training session on May 20 at 9-10:30 a.m. will feature a talk on current scams targeting seniors and others, including stimulus, work at home and vaccination scams, a presentation on new power of attorney laws, COVID-19 policies for agencies and the work of Adult Protective Services and how the unit can be used to help older adults who are or are at risk of victimization.
