Tioga Downs Opens Racing Season Saturday

The 2015 harness racing season is set to begin this Saturday, May 2 at Tioga Downs race track and casino in Nichols.  The 10th season of racing at Tioga Downs begins with a 5:00 PM post time on Saturday.  The local races take a break prior to and during the running of the Kentucky Derby which is scheduled to begin at 6:24PM.

Tioga Downs is holding a number of activities and promotions on Saturday along with harness racing.  They are holding a T-Shirt and Magnet giveaway, live music including a performance by the Edward P. Maloney Pipe Band and fireworks after live racing.

There will be a Derby Hat Contest with registration begining at 2:00 PM. Boxing fans will also be able to watch the Mayweather versus Pacquiao boxing match that evening. Additional information and a complete schedule of Saturday's events along with the entire racing schedule can be found here.
